Weird

For the first time in two decades, we have our Memorial Day weekend free.  There will be no greeting of the riders, no corralling cats, no riders' meetings.

It's weird, but yet some how very satisfying that for 21 years we hosted a successful motorcycle endurance rally raising thousands of dollars and collecting thousands of toys/ gifts for the patients at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center.   There have been many many fond memories and they grow more prominent as the bad ones fade into the background where they belong.

By far, the fondest is this gift the riders got for us.  Currently standing next to the flag pole at our cabin in West Virginia, it is an awesome reminder of the good times.

  1. It's weird for us, too. Maybe you can at least bestow the wand and tiara by email, and report the results.

  2. Looks like a bonus location for another rally. Thanks for the good times!

  3. The MD500 was my first foray into rallying. Introduced me to a whole bunch of new friends and family and a revised perspective on (in)sanity. Thank you for everything you've done!
